Jets Rookie Will McDonald Crafting His Unique Path to NFL Dominance

Will McDonald the New York Jets rookie defensive end found inspiration in studying film of the Las Vegas Raiders Maxx Crosby and the spin move that made him a star pass rusher. 


McDonald combined elements from Crosbys technique with moves he learned from his idol Von Miller to create his own unique style.

During his college years at Iowa State McDonald dominated offensive linemen setting a school record of 34 sacks. 


Impressed by his skills the Jets drafted McDonald with the 15th overall pick.


Throughout training camp McDonald showcased his athleticism and quickness quickly recovering from a minor injury.


Despite being a first-round pick he remains humble focused on his development rather than seeking attention.
